The Department of Epidemiology works with our doctoral students to help them financially via a combination of funding sources including living expense stipends, fellowships, grants, teaching assistantships and research assistantships. After the faculty make a decision to admit, the department will include information in your admission letter detailing any financial support that is offered you by the Department of Epidemiology.
In addition, since housing cost in Southern California can be expensive, you will be offered on-campus housing at below market rental rates. Domestic students may also be eligible for subsidized student loans through the UC Irvine Financial Aid Office. Unfortunately, international students are not eligible for U.S. federally subsidized loans.
The Graduate Division at UC Irvine provides more information about funding.
